Let’s take  a look at the major benefits of BiotaMax and add some additional details.

Produces plant hormones

The beneficial bacteria and fungi within Biota Max produce plant growth hormones. The beneficial bacteria are known to produce; auxin, cytokinin, giberelin, siderophore. All of these compounds are plant growth factors and all help the plant growth bigger, healthier roots.

Increase Root Mass

The reason for the larger, more robust root system is detailed above. The bigger, more developed root system helps  the plant in two important ways. First, it helps the plant absorb and utilize more nutrients from the surrounding soil.

Secondly, and largely overlooked, the increased root system helps the stability of the plant. This is important in annuals after transplanting.

Reverses root oxidation

Root oxidation is a major problem particularly in order, more mature trees. Application of Biota Max actually reverses root oxidation in these trees making the root system function at a higher level.

Biota Max Helps Processes Nutrients

The beneficial bacteria and beneficial fungi in the product help  the plant process the soil nutrients. In some cases this nutrient processing involves nitrogen fixation (Paenibacillus polymyxa). In other cases this nutrient processing involves making insoluble compound soluble (potassium, sulphur).

In all cases, more nutrients are made available to the plant. Since more nutrients are available to the plant, less NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium) need to be applied to  the soil. Less fertilizer application means less cost and less dangerous fertilizer runoff.

Degrades organic material

The Trichoderma in BiotaMax are excellent at degrading cellulose. Cellulose is the major compound in wood and plant stalks that gives the plant its strength and toughness. Degrading cellulose returns  these nutrients to the soil for the next plant to use.

Increases crop yield

Reduces transplant shock

Plant transplant shock occurs when plants are transplanted from a greenhouse to the field. This process is difficult to the plant and in a number of situations large crop loss may occur. Use of Biota Max during transplant can have a dramatic effect on reducing crop loss due to transplant shock.
