Learn more about Biota Gold™ and how it can revolutionize your farming operations.

Biota Gold™ – Beneficial Bacteria and Fungi

Biota Gold™ contains beneficial bacteria and beneficial fungi that are specifically selected based on independent DNA microbial function testing for the following functions:

  • Phytohormone Production
  • Stress Adaptation
  • Organic Matter Release
  • Nutrient Optimization

DNA Soil Testing

Biota Gold™ allows farmers and growers to utilize the power of DNA soil testing. All of the microbes in Biota Gold™ have been tested using the BeeCrop® microbe function test.

Biota Gold™ is available as:

  1. A full feature blend of Bacillus bacteria and Trichoderma fungi
  2. Either Bacillus bacteria or Trichoderma fungi
  3. A Farm specific blend based on microbial function deficiencies determined by BeCrop® soil DNA testing

Data Driven Microbial Selection

All blends are tested for microbial function by utilizing the BeCrop® DNA microbe function test. The test is performed independently by Biome Makers, Inc. Test results are available upon request.

Biota Gold™ was developed with the goal of a healthy, productive soils in mind. The scientists at Custom Biologicals, Inc.  specifically selected microbes that scored high for particular soil functions.

Specifically, we selected microbes that were extraordinarily proficient in the following soil functions:

  • Phytohormone Production
    • Auxin Production, Gibberellin Production, Cytokinin Production
  • Nutrient Pathways – Nutrient Optimization
    • Carbon (C) – Organic Matter Release
    • Nitrogen (N) – Inorganic Nitrogen Release, Inorganic Nitrogen Cycle (nitrogen fixation)
    • Phosphorus (P) – Inorganic P Solubilization, Organic P Assimilation
    • Potassium (K) – Potassium Solubilization
    • Iron (Fe) – Iron Mobilization
    • Calcium (CA) – Calcium Transport.
    • Zinc (Zn)  – Zinc Transport Equilibrium
    • Manganese (Mn) – Manganese Transport Equilibrium
    • Magnesium (Mg) – Magnesium Transport
  • Plant Stress – Microbes have the ability to produce metabolites that help plants withstand stress conditions. The measurable  mechanisms are:
    • Heavy Metal Solubilization (Bioremediation)
    • Salt Tolerance (Alleviate Water Stress)
    • Siderophore Production (Iron Nutrition)
    • ACC (ACC-D) deaminase (Reduces Ethylene in Plants
    • Salicylic Acid (SA) Alleviate Water Stress
    • Abscisic Acid (ABA) Growth Regulation
